Students with IEP diplomas will need to look closely at the careers they are interested in and what type of training or education is needed. If you wish to attend college, be prepared to take a GED or an Ability to Benefit test to support your college application. Check the policies at each college you are interested in. At this time, IEP diplomas are not accepted at CUNY, SUNY and most colleges and universities. However, you can use the websites below to explore the opportunities for IEP students, including colleges that do accept IEP diplomas.

Accomodations for IEP Students
Depending on why you have an IEP, you may be able to request accomodations when you are testing for college admissions and when you are in college classes.
